grandson’s. How old are they?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let x be the grandson age in 2 years (two years later).
Then Mr.Hermander's age at that time is 7x, and 7x is 54 more than x,
so we have this equation
    7x - x = 54,
or
     6x = 54,  x = 54/6 = 9.
So, in 2 years, grandson will be 9 years old --- hence, now he is 7 years old.
It gives the
ANSWER.  The grandson is 7 years old;  Mr. Hernandez is 7 + 54 = 61 years old.
