This problem  HAS  NO  solution in integer numbers ---

--- THEREFORE,  it has a  FEW  SENSE  (if any . . . ).

Raymond is four times as old as Remy, He is also seven years older than her. What is the mathematical equation for this?
--------------------
M = Raymond's age
R = Remy's age
=====================
Raymond is four times as old as Remy ----> M = 4R
---
He is also seven years older than her ---> M = R + 7
================
There are 2 statements ---> 2 equations.
There is no integer solution, tho.

If Raymond is 4 times as old as Remy, then their ages can be represented by 4x and x; the difference between their ages is then 4x-x = 3x.

But if the difference in their ages is 7 years, then we would have to have 3x=7.

But that gives an answer that is not a whole number....

So the problem is defective.

You can write the equations; but they can't be solved to get a reasonable answer.
