Question 1169493: I'm having trouble with this age question:
My age increased by my daughter's age is 48 years. In 15 years, her age increased by four times mine will equal 234 years. How old are we now?
The equations I have are:
let "x" be my age today
let "y" be my daughter's age today
x+y=48
(y+15) + (4x+15)=234
I just can't seem to get it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.

The right system of equations is

    x        +   y    =  48

    4*(x+15) + (y+15) = 234.

Notice that  (x+15)  is  YOUR  age in  15  years;

 (y+15)  is the daughter's  age in  15  years.

The rest is clear   (=  SELF-evident).
