You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Supplement= forms 180 degrees together
complement= forms 90 degrees together

lets say
3x= supplement
x= complement
y= angle
Supplement= 180= 3x+y
Complement= 90=x+y
To combine the two equations together, multiply 90=x+y by negative three to cancel out the positive 3x of the supplement equation.
-3(90)=-3(x+y)
-270=-3x-3y

-270=-3x-3y
180=3x+y
(add these two equations together to find Y)
-90= -2y
y=45+degrees

x, the angle
180-x, the supplement
90-x, the complement
