if Gabrielle is 6 years younger than Mikhail, we have
g=m-6 .........eq.1
if the sum of their ages is 70, we have
g%2Bm=70 .......eq.2
substitute g from eq.1
m-6%2Bm=70........solve for m
2m=70%2B6
2m=76
m=76%2F2
m=38=> Mikhail's age

g=38-6=>g=32=>Gabrielle's age
