You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let Craig be x and Colleen be y.
x + y = 76 (1)
and the problem says that Craig is 4 years older than Colleen. Thus:
x = y + 4 Let's use this value for x in formula 1 above:
x + y = 76
y + 4 + y = 76
2y + 4 - 4 = 76 - 4
2y = 72
2y/2 = 72/2
y = 36 So Craig is 36 and Colleen in 4 years younger, 36 - 4 = 32

To the person who asked for help: Obviously, one of the other 2 people who responded is WRONG. You look into the responses and see who is.
It's RIDICULOUS that people come to this forum for help, and it appears as though the people who respond, most times, are really the ones who
need math help, because they always seem to confuse the person who's asking and most times, themselves. Personally, I believe that they should
find another forum where they'd fit in better!
