2K = 3K - 6


6 = 3K - 2K


6 = K


K = 6.


ANSWER.  Kent is 6 years old now.

Twice Kent's age now is the same as three times his age two years ago.
2k = 3(k-2)
2k = 3k - 6
2k - 3k = -6
-k = -6
k = 6
How old is he now? 6 yrs old now
