r - 7 = (g-7) + 16
r = (g-7) + 16 +7
r = (g-7) + 23
get rid of the fraction, mult by 2
2r = g - 7 + 46
2r = g + 39
2r = 45 - r + 39
2r + r = 45 + 39
3r = 84
r = 84/3
r = 28 yr is R's age
