I get sometime late in 2064
I start with population = p in 2006
2006 p
2007 p + .017p
2008 p + .034p
2009 p + .051p
the question is, what year do I reach p + p = 2p?
.017x+=+1 How many .017 's until I get to 1?
x+=+58.82
2006+%2B+58.82+=+2064.82
This is late Sept of 2064

let x="year of doubling" ... 2=(1.017)^(x-2006) ... log2=(x-2006)(log1.017)

(log(2))/(log(1.017))=x-2006
