I'm going to go way out on a limb here and guess that you are using the caret mark to mean intersection, so that your question is actually:
Presuming that is the case, note that the union of A and B is U, so the union of A and B and C is still U, and since C is a proper subset of U, the intersection of U and C is simply C.
