Question 778089: I dont get my homework question this is really confusing ... the question is : Suppose U = ( x|x is a multiple of 3, x≤ 18 ) is the universal set and c = (21,24,27,30) what is c'?
C' consists of every element of U that is not in C. Re-write U enumerating all of the elements. Cross out any element of U that is listed in C. What is left is C'. In this case, since the largest element of U is 18 and the smallest element of C is 21, C' and U are identical.
