Question 896048: Okay, so, i have been struggling with what categories numbers fit into and right now i have a question on my honors algebra homework: "name all the categories -3 fits into." and i need to name if its irrational, an integer, etc. Thank you!!! :)

 is a negative number. It is a Real Number, Rational Number, and an Integer.

It is NOT a Whole Number or a Counting Number. Whole numbers start from 0 and go up (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...) and Counting Numbers start from 1 and go up (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...) so negative numbers do not count as those.
