Question 342312: My math work book says "Write the range and domain of P = {(x,y) / y + x squared}. The range is the domain equals all real numbers and the range equals y :y>0}. I understand the real numbers but can you explain the answer for range? Any assistance would be appreciated! Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
My math work book says "Write the range and domain of P = {(x,y) / y = x^2} }. The domain equals all real numbers and the range equals y :y>0}.
--------------------
I understand the real numbers but can you explain the answer for range?
Any assistance would be appreciated! Thank you.
==================
Yes, the domain is All Real Numbers.
---
When you equare each of these numbers you always get a positive
number except for the square of zero which is zero.
---
So the Range is "All Real Numbers greater than or equal to zero".
