Take the irrational number sqrt%287%29 and multiply it by itself sqrt%287%29 to get

sqrt%287%29%2Asqrt%287%29=sqrt%287%2A7%29=sqrt%2849%29=7


So sqrt%287%29%2Asqrt%287%29=7


So by multiplying sqrt%287%29 by itself, we took the irrational number and made it into a rational number (7 is rational since 7=7%2F1)
