Enter the coefficients of the quadratic in the form of ax%5E2%2Bbx%2Bc=0 (note: a cannot equal zero). For instance, if you want to solve the quadratic x%5E2%2B2x%2B3=0 enter a=1, b=2, and c=3

Make sure you enter whole numbers for a, b, and c. If you have something like 0.2x%5E2%2B5x%2B6=0 multiply both sides by 10 to get 2x%5E2%2B50x%2B60=0 which makes every coefficient whole. If you have something like %281%2F2%29x%5E2%2B%282%2F3%29x%2B6=0 multiply both sides by the LCD 6 to get 3x%5E2%2B4x%2B36=0 which makes every coefficient whole.
