The two definitions for h(x) are not equal to each-other; do you WANT them to be set as equal, and then to solve for x? Also, the second definition is ambiguous, so helping with it is less reliable. What is it? -sqrt%28x-1%29? -sqrt%28x%29-1? -%28sqrt%28x%29-1%29?

Here is what your second function looks like when surrounded by the triple braces rendering tags:
h%28x%29=-sqrt+x-1
which is just as ambiguous as without the rendering tags.
