You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve for x:
%28x-3%29%5E2+=+9 Take the square root of both sides.
x-3+=+sqrt%289%29 (+ or -)
x-3+=+3 or x-3+=+-3 Add 3 to both sides of each equation.
x+=+3%2B3 or x+=+3-3
x+=+6 or x+=+0

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x-3)^2=9
Write it as follows:
[(x-3)^2-9]=0
This is the difference of squares:
Factor as follows:
[x-3-3][x-3+3]=0
[x-6][x]=0
x=0 or x=6
--------------
Another way to do it:
Expand it to get:
x^2-6x+9-9=0
x^2-6x=0
x(x-6)=0
x=0 or x=6
