Question 704200: Determine the equation of a parbola with vertex (3,9) and an intercept at the origin.
I know I can put this in vertex form and have h,k, but I don't know the significance of the intercept at the origin?
Thank you so much!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The y-intercept is at (0,0)
That means when +y+=+0+, +x+=+0+
You have:
y = ( terms containing x ) + ( a constant )
The constant must be zero, otherwise you have
0 = some number, which is false
So the equation must look like
+y+=+ax%5E2+%2B+bx+
