Using the vertex form of a parabola, y=a%28x-h%29%5E2+%2Bk where(h,k) is the vertex

 y = a(x-8)^2 + 2

 0 = a(-2)^2 + 2

 -2/4 = a = -1/2

 y = (-1/2)(x-8)^2 + 2
