4x%5E2=-72 divide by 4
x%5E2=-18 take the sqrt of each side
sqrt%28x%5E2%29=+sqrt%28-18%29
x=+3sqrt%28-2%29

-3sqrt%28-2%29

Subtract 5 from each side:
4x%5E2=-72
Divide both sides by 4:
x%5E2=-18
