Question 329116: Give exact and approx to 3 dec.pts. for x^2-7x+5=0: value of x,x^2+50=10: would I be right to factor this one first? m^2-1/2m=7/2 complete the square. I have no idea even how to start this one.f(x) 9x^2+12x+4 find x and y intercepts, 3x^2=2 solve for x and give x and y intercepts. I know not to factor this one but am lost as to what's next.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Every quadratic equation of the form ax%5E2%2Bbx%2Bc=0 can be solved using the quadratic formula,
x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+
Some can be factored, some are easy to complete the square, but every quadratic equation can be solved with the quadratic formula.
That's usually the place to start when you don't know where to start.
