You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two of the same example but just different assigned values

p, the given perimeter
w, unknown width
w+k, length being some k more than the width

w%2Bw%2Bk=p%2F2 accounts for the given perimeter

2w%2Bk=p%2F2
2w=p%2F2-k
w=p%2F4-k%2F2-----------substitute the given values and find width and length.

The second example is only slightly different.
w, the unknown width
5w-3, the length
-
w%2B5w-3=66%2F2
You can do the rest of this.

I'll do the first problem to get you started.

w = width
w+14 = length

2*(width + length) = perimeter of the rectangle
2*(w + w+14) = 84
2*(2w+14) = 84
4w+28 = 84
4w = 84-28
4w = 56
w = 56/4
w = 14 is the width
w+14 = 14+14 = 28 is the length

Check
perimeter = 2*(width + length)
perimeter = 2*(14 + 28)
perimeter = 2*(42)
perimeter = 84
The answers are confirmed

Answer:
width = 14
length = 28
