This is a repost. basically what I meant by it is:
Design a house with the front facade in the shape of a parabola. The dimensions of the parabola, 7m's wide by 4m's high. Find the quadratic equation of the parabola design.

OK, assume that the ground is the x-axis and the y-axis is the axis of symmetry.
Using the vertex form,
y=a%28x-0%29%5E2%2B4
When,
x=3.5, then y=0
0=a%287%2F2-0%29%5E2%2B4
0=a%2849%2F4%29%2B4
a%2849%2F4%29=-4
a=-16%2F49
So then,
y=-%2816%2F49%29x%5E2%2B4
