the quadratic is in vertex form y=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk where h=-7, and k=-20
remember (h,k) is the vertex
8%28x+%2B+7%29%5E2+-20 gives us the vertex (turning point) of y%2B20=8%28x%2B7%29%5E2:
