Find an equation for the line with y-intercept 3 that is perpendicular to the line y=2/3x-4.
Let the eq'n be y = mx+c
This eq'n is perpendicular to y = (2/3)x-4 M = (2/3)
hence product of their slopes = -1
m.M = -1
m = -1/m = -1/2/3 = -(3/2)
The required eq'n is y = -(3/2)x+3 (if y- intercept =3 then c= 3)
