(X+3)(X-2)=50 FIRST WE MULTIPLY THE TWO TERMS THUS:
X^2+3X-2X-6=50 NOW WE COMBINE THE X TERMS & THE NUMERIC VALUES
X^2+X-6-50=0
X^2+X-56=0 NOW WE FACTOR THIS EQUATION
(X-8)(X-7)=0 NOW WE SOLVE EACH TERM SETTING IT=0. 1 OR BOTH TERMS MUST BE=0
X-8=0
X=8 ANSWER.
X-7=0
X=7 ANSWER.
