Question 89550: It's been a long time since I've used the quadratic formula. Can you help me solve this?
Use the quadratic formula to solve the equation to the exact value or round to two decimal places. x^2-x-3=0
It's my summer assignment for a Pre AP Geometry class (review from Algebra 1) And it counts for a major test grade? Could you help me? Thank you!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THIS IS THE QUADRATIC FORMULA: x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+
X^2-X-3=0
X=(1+-SQRT[-1^2-4*1*-3])/2*1
X=(1+-SQRT1+12)/2
X=(1+-SQRT13)/2
X=(1+-3.61)/2
X=(1+3.61)/2
X=4.61/2
X=2.31 ANSWER.
X=(1-3.61)/2
X=-2.61/2
X=-1.31 ANSWER.
