Either use general solution or complete the square to put into standard form. You really cannot solve the equation because you only have the equation in two variables and are not gi)ven other information. Best to do is put into standard form.

y=-%281%2F10%29%28x%5E2-9x-110%2F5%29, the fraction %28-1%2F10%29 was factored from the expression
y=-%281%2F10%29%28x%5E2-9x-22%29
The term to use for completing the square is %289%2F2%29%5E2=81%2F4;
y=-%281%2F10%29%28x%5E2-9x%2B81%2F4-22-81%2F4%29
y=-%281%2F10%29%28%28x-9%2F2%29%5E2-88%2F4-81%2F4%29
y=-%281%2F10%29%28%28x-9%2F2%29%5E2-169%2F4%29
highlight%28y=-%281%2F10%29%28x-9%2F2%29%5E2%2B169%2F40%29%29

That form will make finding the zeros easy and make graph sketching easier.

(x - 11)(x + 2) = 0
