Edna paid at least Php1,200 for a pair of pants and a blouse. The cost of the pair of pants is Php600 more than the cost of the blouse.
I've tried using these two formulas but I don't think either of them is right.
Let x= blouse
x+600= pair of pants
1200= total
x+x+600+1200
2x+600=1200
2x=600+(-1200)
2x=600
2x=600/2
x=300
and
Let x=blouse
x-600= pair of pants
x%5E2%2B600 = total
x%2Bx-600%2Bx%5E2%2B600
2x%2Bx%5E2
(2x%2Bx%5E2)/x
2=x
It would be a great help if someone could help me out. Thank you for reading!

Let x=blouse
x+600= pair of pants
x+ (x+600) = 1200
x + x + 600 = 1200
2x = 1200-600
2x = 600
x = 600/2
x = 300
blouse = 300
pants = 900
