You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Again? First take out the appropriate whole number factor from the trinomial:

2(3x^2+x-2)

Next, test the four combinations that might give that trinomial factor; only one of which will work:

-
(3x+1)(x-2)
-
(3x-1)(x+2)
-
(3x+2)(x-1)
-
(3x-2)(x+1)
-

Which of those works?

6x%5E2+%2B2x+-4
product of co efficient of first term and third term = -24
split 24x^2 into two terms such that when the terms are added it is +2
+6 & -4 = +2
when you multiply them you get +6*-4 = -24
This the product of co efficient of first term and third term = -24
