You can put this solution on YOUR website! Starting with: complete the square and see what results. Subtract c from both sides.. Next, divide through by a. Now complete the square in the x-terms by adding the square of half the x-coefficient to both sides.. This would be Now factor the left side. Simplify the right side. Now take the square root of both sides. Simplify. Finally, subtract from both sides. Simplify. Does this look familiar?
