You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The roots of the quadratic equation a*x^2 + b^x + c = 0 are
1) %28-b+%2B+sqrt%28b%5E2+-+4%2Aa%2Ac%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29
and
2) %28-b+-+sqrt%28b%5E2+-+4%2Aa%2Ac%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29
If they are reciprocals of each other

Cross multiplying:
b%5E2+-+%28b%5E2+-+4%2Aa%2Ac%29+=+4%2Aa%5E2
4%2Aa%2Ac+=+4%2Aa%5E2
Dividing both sides by 4*a
We can do because we know that a cannot be 0 for a quadratic)
c+=+a
Hope you got it. Let me know if it is not clear :)

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Let root 1 = r%5B1%5D. Since the roots are reciprocals, then root 2 = 1%2Fr%5B1%0D%0A%5D
Product of roots: c%2Fa. Product of roots, based on the fact that they are reciprocals: r%5B1%5D%2A+%281%2Fr%5B1%5D%29, or 1

Therefore, c%2Fa+=+1
