You can put this solution on YOUR website!

2x%5E2%2B3x=14+

2x%5E2%2B3x-14=0+...factor completely

2x%5E2%2B3x-14=0+.....replace 3x with -4x%2B7x

2x%5E2-4x%2B7x-14=0+...group the first two terms together and the last two terms together like this:

%282x%5E2-4x%29%2B%287x-14%29=0+...factor a 2x out of the first group and factor a 7 out of the second group

2x%28x-2%29%2B7%28x-2%29=0+

%282x%2B7%29%28x-2%29=0+......now, by the zero product property, either
2x%2B7+=+0..=>..2x=-7..=>..x=-7%2F2
or x+%96+2+=+0..=>..x+=+2
which means either x+=-7%2F2 or x+=+2
These are the two solutions of the equation.
