Question 7168: how do i "rewrite this function in the form y=%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk by completing the square. find the vertex of the graph." the function is y=x%5E2-6x%2B13. so far i have y=x%5E2-6x%2B9%2B13-9 which means y=%28x-3%29%5E2%2B13. but the answer key i have says that the answer is y=%28x-3%29%5E2%2B4 and i don't know how to get the four or how to find the vertex after that. thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
well to tell u the good news... ur solution is right :) u are confused about getting (x-3)^2 +13??? nooooooo :) when u do x^2 -6x +9 + 13 -9 its right... later u get : (x-3)^2 + 4 because u shall subtract 9 from 13 and u get 4.. ur solution is correct
