Question 703589: I'm hoping someone can help as I have no idea where to begin with this one.
Write an equation for a parabola that is congruent to the graph of y=3x^2+4x+5. Explain why the parabolas are congruent.
Thanks so much...all I know is the definition of congruent!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Same exact shape and size means congruent. Location does not matter; only shape and size matter. If you rotate or translate(move to different location or position) the shape and size still remain.
Remember standard form for a parabola? We find numbers representing (h, k) as vertex. Just take the quadratic function, change to standard form, and choose some other (h, k) and there you have a congruent parabola but in a different location.
