18x^2+12x-3x-2=0
(18x^2+12x)+(-3x-2)=0
6x(3x+2)-1(3x+2)=0
(6x-1)(3x+2)=0 Set each parentheses = to 0.
6x-1=0 or 3x+2=0
6x-1+1=0+1 or 3x+2-2=0-2
6x=1 or 3x=-2
6x/6=1/6 or 3x/3=-2/3
