The line of symmetry is x+=+h and the maximum or minimum value is k.
Therefore, in f%28x%29+=+%281%2F4%29%28x%2B8%29%5E2%2B8, the vertex is (-8,8).
The line of symmetry is highlight%28x+=+-8%29 and the minimum value is highlight%288%29.
The graph has a minimum value because a > 0.
