Square both sides.
(x+5)*(x-4) = 0
etc
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. |x|= 6
x=+6 and x= -6. Because of the definition of abs.
2. (sqrt(20) - 8x)^2 = x^2 . Elevate both members to the power of 2. And apply the rule of the square of a binomial.
20 - 2. sqrt(20).8x + 16x^2 =x^2. Reduce terms and elevate to the power of 2, both members again...
(-16x sqrt (20))^2 = (-15x^2+20)^2 . Then do the same as below. And the solution of the equation are: array{ x=((2 sqrt(5))/(7)), ≈0.6388765649999}and array{ x=((2 sqrt(5))/(9)), ≈0.496903995}
