Question 625625: Good morning! Looking for some help on a math question. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Find the vertex, line of symmetry, and the maximum or minimum value of f(x).
f(x)= 1/2 〖(x+3)〗^2+1
The vertex is
(Type an ordered pair.)
The line of symmetry is
(Type an equation.)
What is the max/min value of f(x)?
Is the value, f(-3) = 1, a minimum or maximum?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the vertex, line of symmetry, and the maximum or minimum value of f(x).
f(x)= 1/2 〖(x+3)〗^2+1
===========================
Why do you go to the trouble to make it unreadable?
f(x)= 1/2(x+3)^2+1
It's in standard form:
Vertex @ (-3,1)
-------------
LOS is x = -3
-----
The coeff of x^2 is positive --> minimum.
------
Min is at the vertex, = 1
