Find the coordinates of the vertex of
y=2x%5E2
When the quadratic formula is in standard form: y=ax%5E2%2Bbx%2Bc the x-coordinate is found with the formula: highlight%28x=-b%2F2a%29
a=2, b=0, and c=0
x=-%280%29%2F%282%282%29%29
x=-0%2F4
x=0
That's the x-coordinate of the vertex. You find the y coordinate by letting x=0.
y=2%280%29%5E2
y=2%280%29
y=0
The vertex is (x,y)=(0,0)
