x*(x + 6) = 0
x = 0 or x + 6 = 0
x = 0 or x = -6

The x intercepts of f(x)=8x+x(x-2) can be found by substituting f(x) with 0.
It will result the same equation as above, so the x intercepts of f(x)=8x+x(x-2) is (0, 0) and (-6, 0)

factor out an x:
x(8+(x-2))=0
x(8+x-2)=0
x(x+6)=0
x = {0, -6}
.
