Question 563930: I have a bit of a problem with this word problem:
A ball is hit by a bat when 3 ft off the ground. It is caught at the same height 300 feet from the batter. How far from the batter did it reach its maximum height?

I was thinking 150 feet from batter, but that seems too simple. Any help?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
simple...but true (neglecting wind resistance)

the trajectory of the ball is a parabola, the axis of symmetry passes through the maximum height
