Hello,
Let's multiply by 7 and get everything on one side of the equal sign.
7y^2-2y-4=0
Now use quadratic formula:
x+=+%282+%2B-+sqrt%28+4%2B112%29%29%2F%2814%29+
This gets us:
(1+- sq rt 29)/7
Make sense?
