First set the equation to zero;10x%5E2%2B100x=0, factor 10x out and get:
10x%28x%2B10%29=0. Use the fact that if ab=0 then a=0 or b=o to find the roots:
10x=0=> x=0 and x+10=0 => x=-10
Answer:The solution is x=0 and x=-10.
Check:1)10*0^2=-100*0 => 0=0; 2)10*10^2=-100*(-10)=> 1000=1000.
