Question 443134: Determoine the domain and sketch the graph of the reducible function.
f(x) = (x^2 - 25) / (2x - 10).
f(x) = (x+2) / (x^2-x-6).

The answer to #22, #26 are not correct as you submitted, since in a reducible function, the domain is determined based on the original function, not the reduced form! Please correct and submit.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Determine the domain and sketch the graph of the reducible function.
f(x) = (x^2 - 25) / (2x - 10).
Domain is all Real numbers except x = 5.
-------------------------------
Factor:
f(x) = [(x-5)(x+5)]/[2(x-5)]
Cancel the common (x-5) factors.
f(x) = (x+5)/2

================================================
f(x) = (x+2) / (x^2-x-6).
Factor: (x+2)/[(x-3)(x+2)]
Domain is all Real numbers except x = -2
--------------
Cancel the common (x+2) factors.
f(x) = 1/(x-3)
