 3x^2+2x-1=0     | Note general form: ax^2 +bx + c = 0

x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+ 

x+=+%28-2+%2B-+sqrt%28+16%29%29%2F%286%29+ 

x+=+%28-2+%2B-+4%29%2F%286%29+ 

   x = -6/6 = -1

   x = 2/6 = 1/3



CHECKING our Answer***

  3-2-1 = 0   |x = -1
