6x^4-7x^2+2=0

 Let a = x^2

 6a^2 - 7a + 2 = 0

factoring

(3a-2)(2a-1)=0 Note:SUM of the inner product(-4a) and the outer product(-3a) = -7a 

  (3a -2)= 0   a = 2/3

  (2a-1) = 0   a = 1/2

 x^2 = 2/3  x = ±sqrt%282%2F3%29

 x^2 = 1/2  x = ±sqrt%281%2F2%29
