how to solve a general solution to a quadratic equation like x power 2 negative 5x+7=0 and thank u
..
x^2-5x+6
Instead of 7 I have taken 6
This is just to give you basic information.
***
Split the middle term into 2 parts such that when added they give the middle term & when multiplied they give the product of the first term and the third term.
............
the middle term is -5x this when split to -3x & -2x adds up to -5x.
When multiplied they give +6x^2.
...
The product of 1st term & third term is x^2*6 = 6x^2
x^2-3x-2x+6
x(x-3)-2(x-3)
(x-3)(x-2) the solution.
...
When the factors are not whole numbers or not real numbers then you have to use a quadratic equation formula.
For x^2-5x+7
you have to find the roots by using the formula.
