You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Pls. help me to solve this equation: Find the vertex of y+=+3x%5E2+%2B+x+-+2

The x-coordinate of the vertex of the graph of a quadratic
is found by the formula:

x-coordinate of vertex of ax%5E2%2Bbx%2Bc is -b%2F%282a%29

So the x-coordinate of the graph of your quadratic equation is

-b%2F%282a%29=-1%2F%282%2A3%29=-1%2F6

To find the y-coordinate of the vertex, substutite the
x-coordinate for the vertex into the oeriginal equation:

y+=+3x%5E2+%2B+x+-+2

y+=+3%28-1%2F6%29%5E2+%2B+%28-1%2F6%29+-+2

y+=+3%281%2F36%29-1%2F6-2

y=1%2F12-1%2F6-2

y=1%2F12-2%2F12-24%2F12

y=%28-25%29%2F12

So the vertex is the point (-1%2F6,-25%2F12)
