SOLUTION: Please help me solve this equation: {{{y=x^2-4}}}
I need to find the x intercept and the y intercept and also the vertex. I am struggling mostly with finding the x intercept.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Please help me solve this equation:
I need to find the x intercept and the y intercept and also the vertex. I am struggling mostly with finding the x intercept.
-----------------------------------------------------
To find the x-intercept let y = 0 and solve for "x":
----
x^2-4 = 0
(x-2)(x+2) = 0
x = 2 or x=-2 (these are the x-intercepts.
--------------------------------------------
Vertex ?
You have a quadratic with a = 1, b = 0, c = -4
The vertex occurs at x = -b/2a = -0/2 = 0.
When x = 0, y = 0^2-4 = -4
---
Vertex: (0,-4)
